(Dale wrote me asking how to find the project code for
the projects at my site. He found the zipped files
for some of the projects, here is a way to get the
project code for any MW project you run in the Player
from any site on the web.)

Dale,

The file is also in your browsers cache directory as
are all the .html .gif .jpg etc. files that you look
at while surfing.

If you're running NS the direct being used for the
cache can be found by doing "edit->preferences' then
in the preferences window do 'advanced->cache' ,

The if you look in that directory, sort by extension,
you'll see files ending with .mw2. These are the
project files. The only gottcha is the filename is
meaningless. But these .mw2 files can be opened in MW
or MWPro. Once you've opened it you can see which
project it is and then do a save as and save it in a
directory and with a filename you find useful.

If you're using IE the procedure would be the same
EXCEPT I'm not sure how you would find the cache
directory IE is using.

Hope this helps, regards

Frank

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
