I just heard about it on Friday. It is a pilot program, offered for free
this time around, apparently with the intention of charging for the course in
the future. It is a 6-week course. Chris Myers, who is a member of
MWcybercourse, has signed up, and I hope he will give us a general idea of
what the course is like. It officially begins today (May 7). It is limited
to 25 participants and was full by the time I learned of it. It is geared
for MW Pro beginners. From what I have learned so far, it seems like an
interesting way of getting people started with MW Pro, but I'm not clear on
if it goes very far with actual Logo programming. I think the idea of
creating a temporary (6-week) user community is very interesting. There are
weekly lessons, and I think the participants are supposed to commit to
working their way through the lessons and trying to apply them to projects of
their own.

By the way, the Yahoo e-groups (at least some of them) are suffering from
horrendously slow mail delivery lately, but messages arrive promptly on the
Yahoo groups' websites.

MWcybercourse has been a very quiet group lately, but there has actually been
a lot of work going on behind the scenes which I will be sharing with you
shortly.

Wendy

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
