I just posted to the LogoForum an article from today's(Monday, 5/14/2001)
Wall Street Journal with the Subject: "Will Life on the Web Spoil the Sims?"

This article illustrates present creations of more efficient and engaging
alternative learning environments.
In the future less expensive and faster computational systems will allow a
blurring between entertainment and education. "Hard fun" as Papert's
students used to say.

Of course it will take more than improved hardware and software. It will
take folks that have their entire lives been thinking about thinking to come
up with better ways of increasing our thinking capabilities. Maybe Logo
can help humans keep one step ahead of the robots. Dale

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
