They will need a shuffling procedure...

After the person chooses a card and shuffles the deck (27 cards) , the 
magician takes the deck and deals it in three groups. 

The person remembers in which group the card is and at the end of the deal
the person tell the magician.

The magician then puts the group of cards with the selected card in the 
middle of the other two and deals again the cards in three groups (without 
shuffling).

The magician deals the cards three times and every time puts the group with
the selected card in the middle.

After that the magician shows the 14th card of the deck (that is the 
selected card).

It's pretty amazing, isn't it!

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
