I believe you can overwrite the shapes, which makes clearing them
superfluous.

Subject: Mw Christmas wish-list

Dear Santa-Turtle,
Another wish just occurred to me as I sat down to plan some work for
my students. I'd love a fast way of being able to clear as many of / all
the 'given' shapes that come pre-loaded. For example, my students are going
to need at least 30 empty shape for their next project. Rather than having
to open-up the Shapes Editor and do this one-by-one - it'd be great to be
able to do this from the command centre with a specification for the number
of given shapes to be 'erased' ready for the images to imported. Graham
Williams
