Hi Zehava,

The question in your second of taday's emails, about using Mark_and_Move in
Presentationmode, I have no trouble with it working. Judging by the error
message you report, "paste didn't report...to item..." tells me there is a
typo in the line above "paste." Item is not getting all its arguments, so
it's trying to make "paste" an argument to "item."

For the question in this email, I see now you really do want to have buttons
with team names that initiate procedures of the same name. The absense of
the primitive "define" (to create new procedures under program control) in
this implementation of Logo really precludes doing that. It's a shame,
because having that capability makes it possible to write programs that
actually change and evolve with their own experience history, programs that
"learn." (Shawn, are you listening?)

But, as always, there's a work-around. The new Page2 of the attached Project
uses "turtle-buttons" with the team names displayed on them. When clicked,
they initiate an action that is specific to that team - by referring to the
item position in :teamlist. The button of the team clicked also illuminates.

You haven't said anything about what sort of action you want to take with
the various teams, so I've used a generic textbox writing. So you
undoubtedly still have plenty work cut out for you, creating the actions you
want.

Good Luck, Jeff
