MIA, Ask an Expert: opening MW's attachments with a Mac

I have a question that I wanted to get some  opinions on.  I am currently 
trying to work 
on a problem I am having, trying to open up projects such as the ninja 
aerobics MW 
project recently sent out on the MW's forum, from my Mac version 10.3.9 once I 
have 
downloaded the attachment.

First, when I download the attached file, it shows up as a blank file.  
Second, when I 
try to open the project to MW's by choosing the open-with option the computer 
won't allow 
me to use the MW's application as an option when choosing an application to 
open it from. 
Third, I have tried to drag the folder into a blank MW's project but nothing 
happens.  
Does anyone have any suggestions?
