How is it "virtual"?

Daniel

Hello Daniel, an important question you made. Thanks.

I think virtual = online. Online is just more familiar and easy to imagine than virtual.

We have begun to build a new "virtual"( online) school platform for elementary, secondary and high schools. Because our idea starts from scratch, we also have opportunity to take in use such new online tools of learning, which are not so familiar to the most of the schools today. Field is open to unprejudiced methods. (This is a project of unofficial partners working together, not a program of the administration.)

Our platforms are pupils, teachers, school library specialists, parents and other parts of the community. We'd like them to work together and between for the subjects we all have. This is the online field of ours.

And Logo will be there. Use of Logo is not very familiar to our schools today. I know just only a couple of them. (I belonged to a group of parents and teachers, who started a Logo club in an elementary school in Helsinki 1983.)

I think we have an opportunity just now to begin gathering together people interested in Logo. There will be an email list, websites etc. But there will also be an area of ONLINE, virtual working together and between with all the participants. It might be an easier, fruitful way to learn to know Logo. I hope so and try to make it true.

Heikki

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
