Hi Jill,

I found that inserting the line -- if :p = textcount "text1 [stopall] -- as the first line of TO PFACTORS, the problem appears to go away. Be sure to use stopall, not just stop. Nice program.

Hi

I have constructed a project for Year 7 students which reports factors and
prime factors of any number they enter into a particular textbox (see
attached file). It works perfectly except for a message which comes up in
the Command Centre each time referring to the maximum number of lines. This
doesn't stop it from working, but takes it out of Presentation mode, and in
the HTML version, it causes a message to come up (although again it doesn't
affect the working). I have tried various things such as putting in a stop
command if the variable p reaches the reported number of factors (text6),
but I can't seem to stop the message. I wonder if you can please advise me
how I could prevent this message from appearing.

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
