Hello all...

I have a 5th grader who wants to program a NIM type game.

There are 12 pebbles. The student picks either 1 or 2, then the computer does the same.

Whoever picks the last pebble loses.

I had the idea that each pebble would be a turtle...but didn't get too much further.

I started a web search, but didn't come up with too much other than a scanned *typewritten* paper from 1970 by Seymour Papert!

I'm not too good at actual LIST PROCESSING, but I have a feeling that's what it's going to take.

Any ideas?

I'll try to work it out here on my own too.

thanks for any help you can give

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
