When I teach Logo to a class I always start with geometry. It gets the student
familiar with what the turtle can do and with writing a program. Depending on
the age they get really jazzed when they find out they have written a program
"to square". I then go to changing shapes and animation and multiple pages.
In after school programs, I have usually had just a few people at a time and
then I kind of talk with each one and see what their interest are. Then I
might
start with the paint stuff and make a scene and animate part of it, or
something more specifically designed for that person. I think it sort of
depends on how many people and how much help you have.
You might check out some of the project books that are available, if they are
still available. 'The Great Logo Adventure" by Jim Muller
http://www.softronix.com/logo.html
or "101 Ideas For Logo" by Dorothy Fitch (not sure if this is still
available).

I have used it both in an after school group and summer camp setting.I
start out with the graphic tutorials and go from there.

To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
