I'm currently on a computer without MicroWorlds (I know, I know, how  
can I survive in these circumstances???) so I can't double check  
this, but I think if you use the command sentence (SE) to create a  
sentence out of those two components, it should work. Try

Announce se "hello :name

fingers crossed that the cobwebs are clear in that part of my memory  
and that I'm thinking this through clearly.
