Mitchel Resnick tolds us this:

There has been a similar discussion on the Scratch Forum
(http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=362).

Below is what I wrote in the Scratch Forum. If you have other questions,

please feel free to contact me...

--------------------------

Scratch has a "lower floor" (easier for beginners to get started,
because of graphical "building block" approach) while Microworlds has a
somewhat "higher ceiling" (can work on more complex projects).

Scratch has more capabilities for manipulating media (image effects,
etc.), while Microworlds has more capabilities for manipulating data
(lists, text boxes, etc.)

Also, it's easier to share Scratch projects on the web.

  • To save an attachment to your computer, PC users should right-click (Mac users, click and hold the mouse button) on the link and then choose 'save target as' from the pop-up menu. A window will then pop up in which you can choose a location for the file.
